Heheh... Yeah, you guys had to know the regressed Peacekeepers were going to be showing up at some point. Heck, that one filler we did where Protocol was in a Twilight shirt? That was because we were already planning on the image of her as a little girl in that dress. Just a really cute image. ^^ We don't get a good look at the little-boy version of Gibraltar yet, but he's gonna be in the next page. Don't worry, I wanna see the lot of them.
Lore's clearly still very defensive about Protocol, but given it's made clear she gets insecure having her around, I felt a sort of knee-jerk defensiveness made sense. I do like that she seems to relent once it's pointed out how bratty she's being here.
We get another cute cameo from a regressed character, namely Susan Myers, the element-controlling supervillain that the kids fought back in Stronger, Faster, Bluer, and was eventually apprehended by Marvelous Man. Looking back she was a fun character but not if or in what way she could come back. Given her characterization as a hyperactive Womanchild, it made sense to see her running off with Lore's cape. In general it's been fun having cameos with as many characters as we can think of. Saturday's page has another name fans have been asking about.

Funny thing; it's been mentioned before that Sapphire City has a metro rail and a particularly big deal's being made about it in this chapter. The reason is that Sapphire City's based on my childhood memories of Houston and I can remember when the lightrails went into operation. Okay, was more of a teenager than a kid, but I remember hearing my parents talk about the new line and wondering what it'd be like to ride it. .... I clearly never ACTUALLY rode the friggin' thing because when I googled a picture to look it up (after drawing the page) I found out that the Houston lightrails aren't on raised platforms like that. You get on and disembark at street level. Eh, raised platforms look neater. More comic-book-y.
Speaking of, Martin put a new spin on blush in the last panel. ^^ Will let him talk on it, but really like the more anime-style results.
Yeah, just kind of a little bit of experimenting with the blush here, trying to make it look a little more anime-ish. It's basically the same process as before with one minor extra step at the end, so whether or not everyone likes it would be appreciated to hear some input on, could easily either keep doing it or stop depending on feedback.
Lot to like about this page I think, main highlights offhand being the random Susan cameo and the back and forth between Lore and Protocol. Something I do really like doing with Protocol is showing how completely reasonable and genuine she is and how Lore's wrong for the antagonism with her. I think it's been largely moved past at this point but Lore does still have some pretty clear insecurities over the whole thing.
All I've really got offhand but do hope that everyone enjoys this one.
