Yeah, originally this was going to be a lot darker and more direct with a bit of a more involved storyline going on with it. I wasn't really entirely on board with the idea, and also Adam was wanting to incorporate it into WaR with more than just the hinting with it not being Lenore but due to wanting to use its filler for a storyline I had to shoot that down.
Sort of an awkward one to comment on, especially because I'm not running on enough sleep, but yeah, do hope everyone enjoys. I had fun doing extra crispy Lenore in the last panel there.

So, Mr. Night Terror- what benefit do you get from your consumption of the young? Is it nutritious? Are you harvesting their fear? Is it a euphemism for Fontainebleu hiding his inner demons?

I kinda liked having Marvelous Man briefly achieve a Hostile Show Takeover at the climax of his arc, and I was attached to trying it with the Night Terror as well. It was originally going to be this entirely-too-ambitious project with the Night Terror trying to get viewers to reveal personal information, threatening to murder Lenore, but Martin suggested toning it down to this more low-key number. It works, since the Night Terror doesn't seem to like the spotlight THAT much, and favors misdirection unless it knows it can make a big impact. A more subtle takeover felt more fun, especially after Marvelous Man was so up-front about it.
Notice how Lenore's been unable to stop talking about the Night Terror until now, and how in the most recent WaR filler, Lenore acts as if she wasn't been able to see Xandy for a while despite having just done all these filler. Apparently The Night Terror intercepted the broadcast itself, and the signal was lost once the ACTUAL Lenore connected to Xandy to do the WaR filler this week.
