Well, yeah, of COURSE the fight's not over with. I'd be amazed if even a single person thought it was. Honestly it makes the heroes look like idiots for thinking that. .... Maybe they were all just stupefied by the awesomeness of Jake showing back up for real. ^^ I mean, "Jake is Back" was a big deal deal to make them all lose their minds in the LAST chapter.....

Speaking of, I think the gag of Jake saying something like this to make everybody realize it's him was Martin's idea.... Either way, love the sudden feeling of relief that everybody has knowing it's the real guy, especially Jenny just immediately rushing forward to hug him. ^^

Originally the idea was that the Night Terror would stab Jake through the forearm in the penultimate panel to make him drop the spear, which admittedly is a lot more brutal and villainous than just snatching it. Martin pointed out that that injury would be too serious to just drop off, so it got changed to this kinda at the last minute.

Jake never smiles, which is why a lot of people saw through the Night Terror's act when he mascaraed as him; that's reinforced here, but at the same time.... Jeez. Look how friggin' happy he looks in the last panel. I kept toning it down because he looks so uncharacteristically happy in that shot, despite the fact that he isn't smiling. At one point we talked about having Jake smile when he saw the kids for real, but being coy and having him with his back to the camera so you don't actually see it, but this honestly works fine. You can tell he's happy. ^^

It's sort of tragic that we don't see the Night Terror behind that blood fountain; his design there is pretty neat. Martin revamped his colors to make him look darker and more "not playing around" and his form has shifted to being jankier and less composed, like he's been injured and is trying to recuperate. ..... Eh, too good to not show off, one sec...

Yeah, sure everyone expected the Night Terror to get back up right away, regardless of how brutal a shot that seemingly was; a nightmare hardly has a concrete form, after all.

I'm rather happy with how this one came out. Was kind of a weird one to do in that it had a lot of effects to it and a lot of tweaking that went into it, in particular a lot of toning down Jake's shoulders; feel like if anything probably should've done more of that in the fourth panel, he still looks too beefy there. Just look how happy he is there though!

And yeah, as Adam mentioned, originally Jake was stabbed in the sixth panel. Was decided it'd be too much to not immediately divert attention to, especially since it went clean through the arm, but does feel like a bit of a waste not going for it a bit heavier. Funny, the next page also has some sudden last-minute reworking we decided on, but for different reasons.

Posting a guess: Dreams are generated by the mind. Much like mental powers or martial art cultivation tropes I think dream power can be utilised. Either a weapon or empowering themselves are possible but so is making a dream creature.

Heheh... Quite possible, yeah. ^^ We'll have to see. Appreciate the guess.
