And we've returned to our normal schedule, folks. ^^ The break helped us kinda steel ourselves back to work, we were getting pretty stressed.

Speaking of getting back on track.... Yeah, the dream part of this chapter is a lot more fun than the waking one, so we're all too happy to cut back to here. This was surprisingly challenging to draw; that repitilian monster ripping the young Vespi apart kept coming out very cartoony until I finally managed to make it look more incoherent and monstrous. Final result did come out looking like a rabid animal.

But yeah, Martin pointed out that we haven't seen Vespi for most of this chapter and realized she'd be a great one to see the nightmare of.... Asked what it'd be and he mentioned this one.... Not sure how much detail we should get into, but there's an element of Vespi's backstory that informs why she's dreaming of this.

I do like that for as annoyed as she is for being stuck with her kid brother, Valerie is still clearly concerned about him, even holding his hand in the first panel to keep him reeled in.

Speaking of the first panel.... Great touch Martin threw in was that one door. Apparently there's someone named Everett in the crowd who got caught up in the dream.

Yeah, Vespi has a backstory; I kind of threw it out there just talking about how we hadn't seen her for a bit and Adam decided to roll with it in regards to this page. This kind of only gives a small snippet of it, and is kind of more metaphorical than anything, though I'm not entirely sure if we'll go into it within the context of Blues or not so holding my tongue on the specifics for now.

Pretty happy with how this one turned out in general. The dream stuff is definitely what I prefer doing with the chapter despite how it's definitely more work - to the point MS actually was having a lot of trouble playing along with having this page and the last couple pages in this sequence open at the same time - but it does kind of just fill more fulfilling really digging into the meat of things like this.

And then there's that door Adam mentioned. Some of our readers might recognize those names from somewhere. All I really have to say about it in the moment but worth keeping in mind.

Am glad to be back to the regular schedule, really appreciate everyone's patience during all of that. We did a lot to catch up on various other projects we had waiting so should give us much more breathing room going forward.

So Everett and Megan made it to Sapphire City, is that a clue to which villains the kids are going to be dealing with after the Night Terror been dealt with.

Hehhe.... Yeah, we're really looking forward to that chapter; ideas kinda poured out for what we can do. ^^
