...... And really tired so dunno quite what to say on this one...

Whole group's together again, which is visually a trip given just how weird they all look now that they've been "filtered" through their various nightmares. We can see just how they're all playing off one another and how they're all reacting to the details of what's happening. Protocol is back to being herself, which is good because we were having trouble getting that too happen. The idea that she has a therapist is something we've been meaning to bring up since about when they showed up.

Heh.. This was a weird one to put together for a few different reasons.... We cut things especially close to this one; it didn't even have a finalized script until less than 24 hours from when I was going to draw it, and the first draft of it... Wasn't great. It was so crummy in fact that I did an entire second script on my phone at work because I wouldn't have time to write a new one when I got home, which also wasn't up to snuff. Martin stepped in and made a third script, which is what we see here. Works a lot better; the first two had a lot of redundant information (the kids, having just met up, all sharing information the audience has already heard with each other) which is removed here.

Vespi continues to show that she's the grown up by immediately taking charge here. There's a reason everybody loves her, eh? ^^

Yeah, this was kind of a thing where Adam wrote one script but wasn't that satisfied with it, I liked parts of it but did agree that there was room to polish it up. He did another take that did some things better than the first script and had some things I thought were weaker, plus there was some stuff I liked from the first script that didn't make it to the second. I decided to try a third take of my own accord and that's the one we wound up drawing, main edit Adam made being adding the bit with Nicky to make sure everyone got something to do, though that was a suggestion I made in sending it over.

So yeah, kind of a transition page; everyone's pretty much on the same page and caught up with the situation, and it seems as though Vespi has ideas as to how they should proceed from here. She is very much the expert on the subject of those gathered and all so makes sense she would want to take charge.

Speaking of leaders though, we were both wanting to draw attention to the fact Lore was the only person we've seen who managed to escape her nightmare entirely of her own accord as opposed to needing someone else to kind of goad them out of it. Felt like that was something worth drawing attention to and this was a good way to go about it, just kind of having her realize it and be not sure how to feel about it. Lore does pretty often struggle with self-confidence issues and all so I could see this being a realization where she's not really sure how to process it. Speaking of I like the gag with her looking all sheepish in the fourth panel.

The Protocol thing is kind of one of the better shows of this sort of chimeraing the other scripts; one brought up the therapist while the other brought up the eye resolution. Both of those ended the page with Protocol snapping out of it but wound up moving that to the start in restructuring it to put the overall focus of the page more on moving forward into the next leg of the story.
