Eheh... Yeah, this is one of those things we've been planning to do for a loooong time, just making the dialog no longer bolded. I somehow wound up in a permanently-bolded version of the dialog when we switched to this font and I reallllyyyy wanted to change this. Very glad to finally switch it but hope nobody finds it too distracting. Know sudden shifts like that can be jarring.
This is a weird moment where we kinda acknowledge that Lenore has.... something going on with her voice? I'm not sure what exactly the black speech bubbles are supposed to imply with her. Does her voice reverberate? Is it freakishly deep? Kinda up to the viewer I guess. I personally always pictured her sounding like the Turrets from Portal.
I've always kind of pictured Lenore as having a pretty soft, gentle voice that doesn't sound unusual but just has something about it that makes people feel uneasy until they get used to being around her. Like just something about her voice puts people on edge but no one can identify exactly what quality it is about it that does that.
Not a crazy amount to say on this one but this is a switch we've been considering making for a long time, hopefully folks don't find it too jarring; if you do have any input now's certainly a good time to provide it, though one benefit of this is that for some reason with the font we use when it's bolded it also italicizes it. That's why we have to do the underline thing when we want to emphasize a point, since that wouldn't show otherwise. One nice plus to be gained from doing the font in this style instead is it opens the door to do new things with emphasizing particular reactions and stuff, should work a lot better. ... Need to retrofit a bunch of Militant Gold pages in this style, sure that'll be a chore.
