This one was kind of a nightmare to color just due to circumstances. Internet was acting up all night, which was putting kind of the whole thing in doubt, and then at one point the power went out for a few minutes. Really felt unsure on if I'd actually manage to wrap it up before going to bed and with the whole power situation there was no guarantee I'd have time to finish it the day of, particularly because it's not really unheard of for me to have days-long power outages. Fortunately it ultimately got wrapped up with ample time to spare, setting this up the morning before it'll be going up.

Fortunately this is a page where I'm happy with a lot of aspects of it. The kids all lined up taking instructions came out cute, especially little touches like Andy being upside-down and Grant floating above the chair. Speaking of, I kind of wanted to try some new things with some of the outfit colors in this page; we'll only actually see the kids in these outfits for this one page for the time being so it felt like a decent time to try out some new stuff with them.

Speaking of alternate outfits, that shot of Marina and the situation she's describing are callbacks to a chapter in The Black Princess -

This page pretty much summarizes the info relevant from that chapter (not that there's a lot to really recap, that whole leg of the chapter is without dialogue because I felt like trying to be artsy) but that's just kind of there for context if you want it. We also saw more of this mysterious woman in a subsequent chapter -

Again though, not really directly relevant to this chapter beyond just laying the groundwork for the same character / situation, this page kind of largely catches you up.

Think that largely sums things up on this one. Next page is one that was actually added in much later rather than being written directly after this one, but is probably one of our favorite pages in the chapter so hope everyone's going to like that one.

Heheh... Yeah, this one came with plenty of stress at the finish line due to the power issues but result is just great. ^^ A lot of little things that just look so GOOD with how the art is doing now and just makes it so satisfying to look at.

One particular bit of eye candy I was really nervous about was Harena in that flashback panel, in full horrifying monster form, dripping and shifting like sand in front of Harena.

Bit of an odd diddy to discuss, given the recap that needs to be handled quick. Don't think it's SUPER necessary to get into, since the earlier chapter didn't go that much into who this civilization was and what made them dangerous, but it'd feel like a big omission not to mention that at least one of our heroes had met this nutjob before.

Shot of all the kids lined up DOES look really cute. ^^ Yeah, there's a lot of future pages I'm chomping at the bit to see finished soon.
