Heheh.... Yeah, here's our crew, arriving in the desert to save the day. ^^ One of those sorta basic pages just there to establish the setting/scenario/how we got here, but still a pretty neat one to show off. That shot of the entire group is just great, all walking away from the bus.
The bus was such a minor afterthought in the script I actually forgot about it when I first did the lineart. When I had to go back and add it in I had been picturing a school bus but just got to thinking about what kind of bus Protocol would design and wound up with this vaguely-futuristic, sleek look that the crew came up with. The drive up probably had this awesome field trip energy to it.
I low-key sorta like Jake admonishing Telegirl. One element of the character I always wanted to focus on is that she's less experienced than the Blues kids despite being older, and I get the feeling Jake would treat her appropriately.
What stock video-game levels should the Blues kids have a fight in next?!
Yeah, this is kind of just a gearing up to head out page. Pretty stuffed cast for this chapter as you can see; we've got both the main group and the Peacekeepers teaming up for this project, and also this contact Protocol mentioned. Wonder whoever that could be?
First time in awhile we're seeing Protocol with her helmet on. Adam's always wanted it to be a standard for her when in action, kind of go to show how professional she is, but the past couple of times we've actually seen her in action it's been in circumstances where it didn't really make sense for her to have it. Given that it made sense to do it here, is nice having it back.
Kind of a hard one to comment on this one, as said it's mostly a transition page, but do hope everyone enjoys it. ... For what it's worth Andy sitting on Lore's head was actually something written into the script.
