Heheh... Yeah, here's the entire group meeting up. The kids, the Peacekeepers, and Rick's crew. Everybody's nice and connected here. Are just some good moments we wanted to throw together.

Jake's inevtiable response to meeting Wilma was something me and Martin had discussed. I like that it wound up being confused but sort of understated, like it's not THAT outside the realm of what he's seen before.

Protocol's armor is a bit more detailed here than the last page, just something Martin came up with in the process of coloring that we think makes it look a lot better. Related subject, Telegirl was in the script for the 4th panel alongside Andy and Valerie but it was too awkward trying to put her and her dialog in the shot so she wound up getting cut.

..... If you're curious why Rick's crew is in the pose of the Last Supper in the second panel, there is literally no explanation besides me thinking it'd be funny. Was a random diddy that was simply entertaining to do, especially since OZ (in the Judas position) casually revealing she went behind Rick's back to contact outside help, and Wilma seemingly being the only person brushed up enough on fine art to get the reference and drive the joke home.

Between that and all the jokes she's had thus far, it's sort of weird to think that Wilma hasn't had any dialog this chapter, even though I know she's got some coming up. .... Come to think of it, despite having some good visual gags in Wasted On The Blue, don't think she ever talks in that one either. I guess her symbol-speech is harder to work in than I realized.

Actually offhand know Wilma talked at least once in Wasted on the Blue, remember her talking to Nicky at one point. Still, kind of something that doesn't come up a crazy amount I guess, even though there are quite a few gags with her written up for later.

So yeah, these three crews all here together! Not the first time, but we haven't really had a super huge amount of room to bounce the lot of them off each other and of course it was something that warranted exploring here in this chapter. We'll see exactly how that comes together as we go along, clearly sooner rather than later judging by how quickly things are kicking into gear.

Protocol's armor was kind of just an, "Eh, I feel like polishing this up," thing that wound up arising while coloring her and I wound up playing around with. Actually some other details I added to it along the way that wound up being cut, but didn't want to deviate super far from her established look, just give it a little more of a mechanical flair.
