This was kind of a moment that was always going to happen in this chapter but the exact when of it was always a little up in the air. Think at a point Adam was going to do this before that last Jake and Jenny scene, or at least before the last page with them, but ultimately I think slotting it in here works best for keeping up the momentum things, kind of show the continuing reach of what's happening.

Very interesting.
Yeah, it's time we got the the show on the road; the pieces have been moving pretty slowly but now they're in positions where people are starting to notice. Kinda liked having this slow burn going on.
I really loved having Grant's mom be affectionate briefly as her out-of-character moment. There's something so sad about the fact that not only is Grant so shocked when she does it but he's so happy afterward. Just such a sweet moment, with the bittersweet element that something is influencing people's minds to make this happen. .... Let's face it, kid kinda needed a hug too.
Honestly, the fact that she's hugging him with one arm was mostly inspired by this classic moment. That and the fact that I couldn't get the other arm to look right.
