If you're seeing this without shading, it's because we got a little hung up in drawing it. Shading will be a liiiitle late.
The final panel of the last page had Insomniac stepping off the stool he was standing on. There was some consideration of him kicking it away, but it felt like that would make it look like the kids were too late. Also this was originally supposed to be Jenny rushing forward but was a good chance to show that Lore could still do her Flash-Step ability. Not had the chance to show that off in FOREVER.
But yeah, very frantic, desperate moment. I love HUGE the stakes already feel. It's just one person's life but.... This is still something horrified that should be avoided.
Yeah, this initially went up without shading, was kind of a rough night so was a bit behind schedule coming together.
Bit of a hard one to comment on since I think it largely speaks for itself but I do enjoy how it came out. Kind of wanted to immediately have the kids spring into action to save him and think that's demonstrated well here, Lore immediately having the presence of mind to rush to stop him and Jenny and Andy following soon afterward. It's a tense situation that the kids aren't exactly familiar with but they've run headlong into uncharted territory plenty of times in the past.
