Wow. We actually naturally come to find out Nicky and Valerie are siblings, and find out Nicky's super-power without being directly told. How did that happen?
Nicky's legs felt very weird to draw like that. Took some getting used to. We get to see some cool-looking extras here, though. The thing with that girl's eyes was Martin's idea, and since I saw her in color, been mentally referring to her as Eileen. The girl who's nervously peeking out of her room I like too. They're going to be recurring extras, for sure.
I do get to have a good deal of fun with the extras generally. One thing that kind of comes up is trying to strike a good balance on which ones look freaky and inhuman and which are given more normal looks. The latter needs to come up more, but can't deny the former is fun.
The next time that girl in the first panel shows up I'm going to need to tweak her pallet a bit. Given the hair and what's going on I got her confused with someone else.
I never realized just how annoying i must of been to my big sister, till I started having to look after my little brother.
though to be fair, I didn't come out and bang my head on the wall every night before bed like he will if you don't stop him..weird little guy.
lesson here, Little brothers can be a pain, and I'm glad mine doesn't have powers.
Heh. If you look in the second panel, you can see his leg having stretched out. That's his whole thing - you'll see a lot more cases of it as you read on, he's shown it off a lot since.
