Hey, it's page 250! Which also means the length of this chapter so far is a tenth of the total pages of the comic. And by extension Best Served Blue is one page shy of being a full fifth of the length of the comic so far.
I'll leave the reminiscing to Adam, though. Instead, let's talk about the page!
Coloring this one took awhile. In general, McCay through this whole segment took a good bit of time, though it wasn't really helped by things like Jenny's blur effect, Andy's Daredevil one - which as you can see is looking a bit different in the new art style, and some rather frantic action in general. I've figured out some things recently that save on coloring time a good bit, though, so there haven't been many pages to take too long recently. "Many" mostly because of one upcoming WaR page.
That being said, hope everyone enjoys and we'll see you on Saturday!
Yeah, kinda knew colring in this page would be a pain, why I handled a few bits, like Valerie's beams, myself to take things off Martin. Think I got Jenny's blur too.
But yeah, Page 250! It's kinda a shame it came up when it did; there's no clever little remark or notice here I could think to work in. 251 feels much more like a landmark bit because of one bit of dialog there, but we'll see that Saturday.
Valerie blasting all the McCays at once is a little touch I rather liked; it shows she (and the rest of the team) are getting more intelligent with their powers. One little diddy I wanna try to keep going throughout the comic. It's kinda-sorta touched on in the next chapter, though not directly.
Man, think I'd have more to say about this page.... Nice to see the Daredevil effect again; been a while.
It's funny to think that McCoy has only a one letter difference from McCay, and it's nice to see that they're getting better with their powers and improving how they fight.
All and all, kickass.
Huh... True, it does really look like that... Always did love powerslides too. ^^
