This chapter title's screwing with me, it makes it look like Cover is part of the title. Feeling won't pass for awhile given that's also how we format the page names.
This chapter took awhile to focus in on a name and a cover for. My main suggestion was doing something with some assorted gags of them working out in a gym, but Adam preferred this idea, which does have its perks and actually works oddly well for something specific within the chapter. We'll go more into that when it comes up, won't be long.
That being said I'm not sure what all I have to say here. Do like how this one came out though, looks like a good teamwork thing. It's weird how all three of the comics have their current chapters' covers have lighting effects on them, two of which are in the dark. All three chapters kind of have their own feel though - WaR's is going to be pretty frantically paced, BP's big thing is that most of this chapter's going to be absurdly complicated to draw, and Blues mostly just is really cluttered for a lot of these pages. Though it does have some visual spectacle coming up, in general it feels like all three comics take a big jump forward at this point.
Speaking of I need to do more coloring, fallen a bit behind on Blues. Still like a month ahead of schedule so no danger of missing any updates, just saying, I have like five pages sitting uncolored right now I should probably work on later.
Anyway, not sure what else I've got here, so enjoy chapter twelve!
Yeah, wanted to do a night chapter again, for a stupid reason. I'm really a night person and find it's just in general the absolute best time of day for me, and a lot of the night chapters planned are going to be fairly grim. Wanted to set a light-hearted one at night to show yeah, the night can be fun, too.
That mystery girl behind the group going in the opposite direction we'll quickly get acquainted with. The opposite-direction thing takes reflects a kinda-sorta theme this chapter has to it. Will get into that as it goes on, but more will be happening besides the kids practicing their powers.
But yeah, cover was really crazy and hard to think of, but very happy with. Mountains in particular are just something I enjoy drawing so had fun handling this one. Plus just loved the teammate vibe.
One regret is that I sorta thought about putting Jake in that Samurai outfit I drew him in once. Been thinking about putting him in that or something similar again and since covers are out-of-canon would be a decent excuse. Appropriate too. Ah, well. ^^
