Gah, sorry for the delay, didn't entirely realize today was Friday or the time. Just kind of hit me all at once and I at once got to scrambling to get this up. And Adam hadn't sent me the PNG of it so I had to go export it myself first.
As before liking how this sequence is coming out, although I don't know how much I have to say on it. That's a frequent problem with middle pages of a scene, just kind of everything you can say's more applicable either before it or after it.
Honestly, if I have a problem with this sequence it's that it feels like the kids don't really have a stake in this or a real say in what's going on and are just kind of Jake's tools of a sort. I dunno, something about, "Go get involved in offscreen shenanigans while I alone discuss the plot," has that kind of effect.
Come on, Spencer, you just said you wanted him dead six pages ago. Granted Jake wasn't there for that. But we were!
But yeah, it really is hard to talk about pages like this that are in the middle of a sequence. Most of what I have to say abuot this exchange won't be relevant until Wednesday, when the scene ends.
Heh. Decent point on the kids thing, though I imagine if they don't wanna do this it'll be up to them. Plus it's clear from earlier Jake is the only one who really has a major problem working with Spencer. I don't even think it's that he doesn't want to go fight Antlers it's just, "Do I really want to spend more time around this guy than I absolutely have to?"
