Wanna say first off how much I appreciated the support from you guys on Saturday when I was so iffy about the dark direction this was going. In fact, the response from you guys on this entire story arc's been pretty awesome. I remember why I love the fans so much. ^^
I'm weirded out more people don't use "suspended in a liquid" as a container for tank-characters. Basic physics mean it's an obvious choice.
Originally I was thinking there WOULD be a part in this fight where Salix gets pulled up by his roots, but we can say that later.
Actually, there's very little I can say on this page since it's largely setting something up to happen Saturday. Will talk then, I guess.
Not sure what all I've got to say on this one offhand, other than that I really need to color the next page. Kind of slowed down on Blues production lately. Mix of computer issues and... Look at it, these pages have been taking awhile.
What does the bit of dialogue in the last panel make people think of, I wonder? I'm kind of town between the Arthur Brown song and The One I Love by REM. Yeah, this is how little I've got to say on this one honestly.
Actually, liquid suspension is not nearly as powerful as people think. Ever see someone drag their hand through water? Or push it away? Now, imagine that with super strength. Unless Salix can exert a lot of force with that prison of his, Lore can probably rip half of it away pretty easy.
Of course, the collorary is that A: the prison can regenerate, and B: it exerts force on her whole body, which makes it much harder for Lore to leverage her full power.
So, yeah, tough but not unbeatable.
.... Huh. Okay, then. I think the point is that it forms a kind of center of gravity when the liquid is suspending by itself like this, meaning it can't be swum out of without some form of kick-off point. Good point though. ^^
