YEAH! This is the 450th page! YEAAAAH! Let's celebrate with showing off the world's greatest superhero! I can't wait to see what adventure Marvelous Man will embark on this time!
I wondered if this made the kids look petty; being so upset with not getting the chance to do things themselves, but think it makes sense. Once you get a new costume you wanna get a chance to use it, and there's sort of intense disappointment you get at a moment like this.... "Yeah! We're gonna be so awesom-awwwww...."
I love how this bit is colored; the entire chapter thus far has been very colorful and vibrant. ^^ It compliments the new costumes very nicely.
I think I'd just watched a play-through on Bioshock Infinite doing this page... The last time all the kids were in an alley there was a poster on the wall of an underwater city as a reference to the first game. Here it's a floating city for Infinite.
When we need to do big dialog for shouting, or all-caps it becomes pretty obvious we need to look into new fonts for these things. It's something we've discussed and it's honestly really bugging me.
Well... Some first outing in the next costumes, huh?
Not sure how much I've got to say on this one, but happy with it. Naturally, going to be a bit more to the chapter than just, "Well, guess we're beat, let's go home," but still, yeah, not the best start to the superheroism for our group.
I might need to rethink how I do one aspect of the lines a bit. They're coming out too light on Andy and it doesn't look quite right.
Grant: well we could still go in and-
Jake:he's got a tvcrew with him
Grant:..ok val, we need you to make a emp pulse and-
Val:What? how do i even...why would you assume I know how to do that?
Grant:..Ok Andy, we need you to-
Andy: grant, buddy.. drop it. it's not happening. i'm sorry.
