This chapter's officially surpassed any other in the comic in length. Almost done at least.
Yeah, back to where the chapter started; trip to the hospital. I tried to really give Felicia a worn-out, exhausted look like you sometimes see when people are in hospitals. Know what I mean? Get the news someone you care about is sick, you're there for way too long and when you come home you look like someone ran a tractor over your face?
The shadows in this came out great, too. I think in the hospital room proper Felicia has the lights out and the only source is the window next to them.
One really big problem I had was Marvelous Man's "incognito" outfit (incidentally one of the very few times we've seen him without the costume). The hat and jacket have the logo from the Dragons, with the idea that to replace his costume on short notice he asked the coach or manager or something from the stadium if he could take some merch. But it came out looking a LOT like Mech. Drove me nuts... At least Martin got that in color, but when it was lineart it was infuriatingly similar.
Bit heavy on the shading on this one, kind of going for a moody sort of feel. Think I kind of overdid it really, but is what it is.
Not sure how much I've got to say here offhand. This page was a weird one for me, like how it came out but it took me a good while to get into coloring it and was a pretty prolonged process getting through it despite not being anything that hugely busy or anything. Eh, is what it is I guess.
Not sure what else I've got but do hope everyone enjoys. Like Adam said not too terribly long left to go in this chapter.
Nah, that was just one chapter, and it was only 46 pages. The longest chapter (until now) was the chapter where we first met Spencer and was 49 pages. I think maybe this doesn't feel as long because we have it jam-packed with stuff story-wise. The other two were long but were mostly made up of action scenes.
Wonder who the private's talking too, and for someone who obviously had nothing to do with her ex-husband since the divorce, Felicia clearly still cares about him, wonder what's going to happen next.
Heh... The person he's talking to won't be that long a wait to find out on. ^^
But we'll get into it a bit in the next page, but I think Felicia only left Quentin because he was growing increasingly unstable mentally and refused to get help and she couldn't watch it happen anymore.
