Eheh... Really scatterbrained right now and there's a looot to say about this one... ^^ Especially hard because this included a new experiment in the shading that was a bit rough. Probably best to leave that one to Martin.

Okay, that line about Marvelous Man's size wasn't meant to be something in-canon. It was just meant to imply the kids were a bit intimidated by him standing there all ominously and to Lampshade the guy's Art Evolution. If you go back to Marvelous Man's first appearance, he's waaaaay smaller. Over the course of the comic I've just been exaggerating his build more and more, buffing him up from "kinda big" to "ridiculously huge". Martin eventually told me I should scale it back so trying to level it off. I'm not trying to imply his size has been changing in-universe though I guess you could read it that way.

He also pointed out how exaggerated and silly I've drawn his pecs so I've been trying to improve on that front too. Heh. Firefox recognizes "Pecs" as a word. But not "heh."

But yeah, this was preeetty televised. I needed a way to get these two to fight, so here we are. Who're you guys betting on?

Yeah, this one got a lot more personal and one-to-one with the shading and... it pretty much wound up being a huge pain for both of us. The night stuff didn't really help, was having to constantly work around it and double back to edit that layer to fit with the brightness parts. Might be something we explore on particular occasions in the future, maybe, but not something terribly likely to be a normal part of the procedure because it's just not really practical.

So yeah, turns out just giving a huge guy with a ton of powers a vague, "Here, watch this," warning miiiight turn out a little badly. Who knew, right?

Either way, time to throw down, Marvelous Man vs. the Blues kids! It's all been building up to this, be sure to swing by Wednesday for when the fight gets underway!

MM is likely to win unless they find a weakness of his. Oxygen deprivation for example...
A specific energy type might also work though that will take a lot of trial and a lot of error.
Basically though, they should back off and wait or find another entrance. Guarding the door =/= not letting people enter the building.

Heh. So we got one bet for MM. ^^ Gotcha.

Buuuuut, yeah. Finding another entrance is a much smarter idea. .... Kinda wish I'd thought of that one. Eheh.... ^^

The kids. Strength in numbers and in his current state while he won't necessarily hold back as he might against children if he was awake, he also is not in a state to formulate a strong strategy to battle multiple opponents at once. least of all when one of them might be able to just fry his nervous system with a massive electric blast. The only powers we know he possesses currently are some degree of invulnerability and recovery, strength, and flight.

Unless he has one more trick up his...pants legs, I guess, I feel confident saying the kids have him under these specific circumstances. And I simply went under the impression his suit itself obscured the actual definition of his muscles. Thus appearing more massive for virtue of being faced with how muscled he actually is. Like a guy taking off a shirt to show he really is ripped.

And as a note, I say these specific circumstances because as much as I love the kids and would want them to kick his butt, fully aware and if for whatever reason he wasn't holding back, I do believe he would trash them. His combination of powers, military training and experience, etc. afford him at least enough points in the brains category to be a true adversary capable of besting our unfortunately still in training heroes. But I would hope he would hold back, if such came about or if he wakes up. Because after proving himself an ever increasing a-hole, be nice if he at least held some limit, or something which 'goes too far' to justify.

Heheh... All a good idea to get through it. ^^ Really curious what you'll think of what's coming. In particular like the reasoning on the last paragraph.
