Y'know what? Screw it; the LEGO genetics thing is ridiculous, but it's integral to the plot so whatever! Let's just revel in the stupidity!
Yeah, Mariposa is eccentric, but she genuinely can do what Marvelous Man wants. That's what I kinda like about this page; the guy really isn't happy with having to deal with her at first but that's because he doesn't think she's what he was told she was. When it starts to look like she knows what she's talking about he starts to open up and discuss things. Say what you will about the guy, think he's willing to work with people who get results.
So it was obvious to everyone Marvelous Man wanted an upgrade when he found out how his powers worked. Now you know what KIND of upgrade. Guy lost his last fight with Insomniac; time to bulk up for the re-match.
What I kinda like about this is that the kids really aren't on his radar for this and don't factor into what he wants his powers for. They're not an issue; out of sight out of mind. He's already gotten them grounded, now he's onto bigger things.
Yeah, pretty much right off the bat I like getting to show off Mariposa and just make her really quirky, and I like how expressive the art is in accommodation of that point.
Not sure how much I've actually got to say on this one offhand admittedly, kind of a page that largely speaks for itself. I do hope that everyone enjoys this one though.
So... somewhere between Lego, Tetris and Buckaroo with lots of maths involved and playing with someone’s life? Maybe kal-toh is more accurate.
That would require a certain kind of person ;)
