Heheh... Yeah, this is the end of the chapter. ^^ A bit of a petering out on this one too, but I just wanted to show Grant coming back in showing he's gotten over his depression and feels a lot better, and he's good to get back to his friends now.

All there is to this. ^^ Jake, Andy, and Lore being the ones he sees coming in are because they hadn't had lines in this chapter.... Yeah, really don't like doing chapters focused on a single member of the group, just felt it had more impact with just Grant. Don't worry, BIG adventure next chapter. Got something you'll all hopefully enjoy.

The panel here is supposed to mirror the last panel of the last chapter, with instead of the Blues kids being away from the camera they're walking closer, the mood being bight and happier rather than uncertain and miserable.

Lenore's expression took a couple of tries to keep from being creepy, but wanted to work in that line. ^^ Favorite part is her little "I never!" reaction to it.

Yeah, might be a little bit of an abrupt end but do think it's at least a good, hopeful ending note. Things are at least looking a little better, even if the issue is far from resolved at this point in time.

Next chapter... Still not ready to give the name just yet, I'm afraid. Actually be very last minute on that, you'll see why. Am really looking forward to it though, it's a chapter we've batted ideas around about for a loooong time.

I like how Adam pretty much took the first available chance to use that, "meanie-pants who engages in ungentlemanly behavior," line in Blues. It first came up in a WaR filler a few weeks ago, also used to describe Marvelous Man.

Taking bets on what Jake’s ‘long story’ about the civil war is, assuming it is the same American civil war as in our world!

Time travel seems obvious, or Jake has an old friend who’s been through such time travel hijinx themselves with whom he was close enough to let them talk his ear off!

Another is he is a history buff himself, or friends with one such and took part in one or more reenactments of such. I am eager to hear other ideas or what people think of these ideas!

P.S. I like Val’s sort of satisfied smile as she looks across at her brother and Jenny given what we know of his crush. Less I am mixing anyone up which is not impossible.

Heh. Yeah, not sure myself. ^^ I think Time Travel might be the safest bet, since we see from his room that he owns a Union Soldier's hat. Who knows what that means.
