Heh. Little outside the box but this is a picture from Neloku, a piece of fanart we got waaaaaaaaay back when the comic was first starting. Don't think all the main kids had even actually shown up yet at this point. All due credit to Neloku on that, very nice picture we just cleaned up and colored.
Really we were just kind of looking for ideas for filler and I randomly threw out the idea of finishing this picture up, so we asked Neloku for permission to use it. Got the okay and thus here it is.
Really happy with the end results, though the most radical departure (beyond being digitally done and in color, I suppose) is just that Lore was shortened a bit to be a little bit more in line with how the characters are typically drawn now. Original picture she was almost Andy's height.
Speaking of Andy, how's everybody feel on that little fang? We're both kind of wondering about integrating it into his character design, it's a cute little touch.
Either way, one more piece of filler before we get to the next chapter, and it's the start of the next filler arc. Be sure to come by on Wednesday, this is something we've been looking forward to.
Heheh.... Yeah, just a bit of a curious diddy. ^^ We've been experimenting with finishing lineart lately and this felt like it might be neat to try. You can see the original here.
Yeah, was a quick little diddy but just a cute filler. In general felt WEIRD looking back at this. Was a really cute gift to give us, especially given the very first chapter of the comic was both terribly drawn and terribly written. Seriously, me and Martin recorded ourselves re-reading the first two chapters of the comic and it was cringe-worthy. The second chapter especially made me think "There is not a single aspect of this I wouldn't change."
I like it. Might be explainable as some further evolution or development of his blue blood abilities as we know his abilities allow him higher dexterity, agility and flexibility than average akin to a monkey. Or even just a slightly above average incisor getting knocked askew by one too many punches to the face. Ton of different possible explanations.
I also officially am imagining Andy with a monkey tail and I do not hate it.
Andy definately has the mischievous side that would justify the fangyness. If you did it like that, if you actually gave him fangs canonically, I think it might be a little weird. Unless all the kids got other evolutionary traits like that.
