Pretty happy with this one, though admittedly I kind of rushed the coloring on it - this was basically a fresh out of bed job since had kind of a time crunch going. Been sort of happening a lot lately to be honest though don't worry, hook or crook we'll keep the schedule up.
Funny, not sure how much I've actually got to say on it despite having just knocked it out this morning. Do like the feel of this sort of low glow in this empty cave though.
I can only assume Fontainebleu magically enchanted the pages of the book to not rot from being in a cave for so long. Or something.
You'll notice in the first panel that behind the group is a large door, which I think they were supposed to use to enter the island instead of that hole torn into the rock. I kinda like the touch of Jake apparently helping each one through.
Lighting like this is always a massive pain to draw, but I keep forgetting just how great it comes out when it's finished. Just having Valerie light the way up with her powers was a cool touch I liked doing, sort of like how whenever the Justice League is in a dark place the resident Green Lantern will do the same thing. Plus enjoyed the little touch of Vespitina going all field-trip-teacher on the whole thing by explaining how the island was carved out.
The interior looks a lot neater than it did in the first pace of the chapter, by way of me attempting to find a way to make it look distinct very quickly. Making it look more precise and carved than jagged and cave-like seemed like a cool idea.
I just woke up to set the page up, you guys know the drill. I'll get my comments proper when I get home tonight. ^^
