First off - fair warning, probably going to end up having filler on Saturday. Bit of a busy week and Blues hasn't really been very stable in its schedule lately. Another update of pretty much a rush job the morning of submitting for us so can use the wiggle room. If anyone's wondering this won't affect WaR, it has much more of a backlog.

And hey, Emma to the rescue! ... Well, at least in that she's making the attempt. Do think this is a really good moment for her, kind of communicates a lot about the character I feel like. Of course it's probably not actually going to end up working out quite the way she wants...

Yeah, all I've really got but hopefully everyone enjoys this one.

Heheh.... Yeah, dunno where THIS idea came form, but I like the idea of Emma at least making an effort to step up and be heroic. She's just... likely not that good at it. She's a character who I see as being good but really misguided, so was neat to see.

You'll notice that this whole fight, the kids haven't been hit by Marvelous Man, mostly because as we saw on Halloween, he has enough muscle and power to one-hit-KO everyone but Lore. But the idea (which was Martin's, by the way) is that now that he's unbound, Marvelous Man starts dropping them... but also can't have the kids taken out entirely due to reasons coming up, so have to come up with a reason for him to hit them all hard without instantly taking them all out. Thought the idea that he's taken too much damage to really hit hard was a good one.

Speaking of, with MM's body language was trying to re-inforce that he can't move that well at this point. He's meant to just be flailing and stumbling around, not sure how well it was conveyed in the art....

All the same, he's clearly winning. Thank God the kids have C.A.N.D.L.E. there to bail them out, am I right?!

I really like this fight because it shows how MM is losing it. I mean as MM keeps going, keeps fighting, he looks like a crazed animal and not a trained solder.

And why'll its cute and good that Emma is willing to stand up to MM, its not going to end well for her.

He is ether going to mind wipe her, or just going to punch her to the ground.

Also was it ever established what da heck their acronym stands for? It sounds like something I would have questioned before and can’t remember if I got an answer. I would even accept some random collection of mostly meaningless words cause someone really wanted their name to spell candle. Looking at you Strategic Homeland Intervention Enforcement and Logistics Division!

Hay is C.A.N.D.L.E really apart of some part of government in Canada? And if so, when MM attack's her will that be an act war or something?

Heh. No, think they're based in the US. Don't remember them ever saying anything about Canada so curious why you thought that... was it the red/white uniforms?

Heh heh sorry I thought when they first came into the comic or in some page, they said there were from Canada.

Or in a comment you said they were from Canada, or you could be right and its the red/white uniforms that made me think they were from Canada.

She might at least buy the kids a page if she tells us what MM agreed to unknowingly before he kick started the city wide siezures.

Weird thing I have something specifically in mind for what she agreed to, just not sure when/how to have it brought up. ^^
