Okay, full disclosure people, I downloaded Cuphead for the first time last night and my brain cannot currently form thoughts besides killing that one Mega Man 2 dragon I'm fighting.
But yeah, new chapter, What Can I Do For Blue! ^_^ Naturally we're going to be seeing Vespitina, Margaret Dillion, and Protocol in this one. And why by coy, Spencer's showing up too. Was supposed to be a surprise but everybody saw it coming so eh.
This chapter's going to be fairly long, most likely, but very chill, at least for the first part. Actually very, VERY pleased with how it's come out so far. Formatting is a little bit different narrative-wise, and been very encouraged with the artwork thus far. ^^
This one went through a lot of back and forth on what exactly to do with the cover. Pretty sure the end result was my idea, but either way plan was always to work in acknowledgement of all the people the kids will be asking for help, and most of this chapter is in flashback form thus the computer setup to it.
Admittedly not sure how much I really have to say on it offhand but do think this chapter is pretty fun. Lot of jumping around and get to see a lot of faces. And yeah, no sense being coy about it, Spencer's going to be showing up. Been awhile since we've seen him actually, last time was... God, what, Blue vs. Green maybe? Been a long while.
For what it's worth Adam struggled a good bit with figuring out how to fit in Protocol, to the point original version of the cover didn't have her. Then I suggested some kind of action figure or bobblehead or something and here you are. Would imagine these probably exist in-universe.
By the way, next Wright as Rayne chapter starts on Monday. Fans of Blues might want to keep an eye on it.
I enjoy Spencer and look forward to him coming to probably make everything worse before throwing money at his problems (possibly literally) and running away. Mind you he might also save the day, never know.
Vespi looks drunk, high, flirty, or some combination of the three in that photo.
And what is with that car ad? Safe, Stylish, Superior. With that wonky stylized S. It will probably mean absolutely nothing but makes me soooo curious!
Heh. One of the things Spencer's company is best known for is producing cars. .... Admittedly wouldn't've played that up so much if I was doing the character again, but that's just one aspect of his corporate empire and he's mentioned to still star in commercials for them, which I picture having a weird Calvin Klein-ish air.
"Safe. Stlyish. Superior. Spencer."

I think Vespi's just flirty and tired. ^^
