Heheh.... Funnily enough me and Martin are setting this up in-between runs on Mortal Kombat. Which is weird given the Lien Kui symbol on the side of that building there.
But yeah, as with Andy's folks in the last page, wanted to make Nicky and Valerie's parents look a bit better, since they came off pretty bad in the last chapter. Wanted to show that they are trying to patch things up and mend with Valerie, and could probably just do a better job of it.
Was also just a fun page to get a look at the sprawling city-scape and do some fun, freaky stuff with that setting. I love the last panel especially, with the high shot of the building, kids tiny in front of it. ^^ Makes you wanna play the Arkham games, doesn't it?
This one came together relatively last minute, kind of started falling behind on coloring pages - having to re-shade everything while getting caught up has been a drag. Been working on closing the gap though, colored this one and the next two WaR pages in the last couple days, so it shouldn't be an issue. Need to pull ahead on coloring Blues but don't worry, we'll be ready to go on Saturday.
Either way, not a gigantic amount to say on this one in its own right. Wanting to say I was getting caught up on Promised Neverland while coloring this one so that's mostly where my mind is going to with it. Good show.
I like how this isn't even the first time we've seen these two dangerously climbing the outside of a building at night.
