So, couple of edits made to the Peacekeepers with this page. Did some slight tweaks to Marina's costume here, primarily in regards to the trim at the bottom and changing the flower on her collar to white. Pretty decent excuse to do so since when she last showed up in WaR her coat got torn up fighting Gold Rush.

Meanwhile with Gibraltar I decided to try putting some cracks in him, make his skin more clearly rock. Originally I actually tried doing it much heavier but we didn't really think it came out great so redid it with this bit more restrained cracking. Probably something that'll be polished up a bit page to page, kind of need to figure out the exact process on it and all.

Funny enough on the flight thing is that the last WaR page actually offered up some information on how Grant's powers work exactly in regards to his enhanced strength. If you want a look at that -

Heheh..... Yeah, just a quick little scene with these two discussing things before getting to the Peacekeepers. They were the only ones where we don't see their parents; Lori is already pretty well-known and liked to the fans, and Grant's folks recently cameoed in WaR, so I didn't want to go into it. We do still get some info on what they're doing; Grant being exhausted with his training and Lore getting off light with her sister.... The scene of her tugging at Grant's cape to secure herself was still pretty cute.

Plus this sequence with the Peacekeepers is gonna be a long one, so might as well dive into it...

I mentioned recently that me and Martin have been playing a lot of Mortal Kombat 11 lately? Well, pay no attention to how the Peacekeepers are fighting a black-haired kung-fu guy with a red headband, a dude with a warhammer, and a woman with an insect motif. The last of them I was going for a weird D'Vorah/Queen Moon hybrid.

Hey! It’s Marina, that monster lady from the lost spell of fontainbleu! Also, I like Lori’s reason for not disposing of her costume. Simplest and best reason possible. She’s too cute in it!

Yeah I honestly don’t have much else to say at this point. Let’s keep reading soon as next page pops!

Yeah, next page'll discuss Marina a bit more; she's really a WaR character we thought would work on this team, hence why she was randomly in the earlier chapter. She was a witch character who made sense to want the journal in the comic.

But yeah, I needed Lore to be in costume for this and didn't have a reason for her to have snuck it out, so that was the best explanation I could think of. ^^

Lots of fighting styles/ martial arts include punching and blocking. Boxing containing little else and missing nine tenths of the rest of the basics doesn’t count. It’s a mere sport for a reason. Not saying skilled boxing isn’t effective but even safety fighting in the MMA sport lacks in a few areas the rules don’t allow. Limiting your training to the reduced skill set can leave you wide open to an opponent spotting your limitations.

Eheh... Yeah, idea is that Grant's dad is more of a sports jock than an actual fighter, and I guess his attention is more toward boxing than it is MMA. To be fair to Grant, part of the idea is that he'd need to learn more offensive moves at some point in melee, since Aikido is almost entirely grappling (which, to be fair he could be awesome at given he can fly), but his Dad's going the opposite direction and restricting it entirely to boxing.
