Well, of course that wasn't the end of Spencer. We had to have him come back. ^^ I like the idea that he's just doing random rich-person shinnanegans in his hotel room, buying a statue and a crossbow just so he could shoot one with the other.... We also see his pet Rooster, Mr. Uvula, make a quick return.
I really like Jenny's mini-speech here, though. While the visuals of this set-up are kinda boring since everyone's just sitting around typing, I did like the speech she made. IN a way, that's sort of how I feel whenever I see something corrupt and illegal that's either institutionalized, or just plain accepted by everyone who knows about it. You sort of think "Is there a grown-up I could tell?" and the answer is "Yeah, but they don't want to do anything about it." It's really a depressing thing to think about for me, a jaded adult, so wanted to have the kids have that moment of clarity. Yes, the deck really IS that stacked against you. No, it's not far, and everybody KNOWS it's not fair, but nobody's interested in doing anything to fix it.
For the record, don't go back and try to spot a chatbox that says he's entered the chat, I kinda always wanted him to pop up unexpectedly so never put that in. That or it just never occurred to me.
I did love keeping up the occasionally-seen joke of Grant being a really bad liar. Honestly, since the kids won't have secret identities much longer, not sure how much more we're even gonna see that joke. Also Alice is still here and she's still cute. ^^
I remember when Adam sent this script to me he said it was even more Persona 5 than the other bits in this chapter and... Yeah, this is super similar to the buffet scene in that game. So that's pretty amusing for me.
But yeah, naturally Spencer is the one stepping in to take action on this, though of course it remains to be seen exactly what it is he has in mind. Though his suggestion for Nicky is pretty flawed given that'd run the risk of getting his parents' attention. Still sure Nicky didn't think of it though.
Also! If you're wanting to see more of Grant being awkward, and some action while at it, you might wanna look at what's going on in Wright as Rayne, where he's presently fighting Ivy League. You can read that at wrightasrayne.com.
