I've had yet another tooth removed and need two others to come out. ..... Yeah, after this point I'll be wearing partial dentures, it's just... Nnn... Been a rough couple of days. But despite that, we managed to pull this page together at the last minute. ^^
Eheh... Yeah, I really needed to twist things around and have the kids talk to Spencer one more time. Him speaking to them is the main thing this entire chapter's been building up to. That said, you can see how fast and how rushed this is. I sort of want to wrap up this page and didn't have much for the kids to discuss with the Peacekeepers.
All I got. This is just one of those transitional-pages. ^^ Sorry, folks. Enjoy~
Yeah, as Adam said due to some dental work this one came together relatively last minute - as a result I handled the shading on this one so if it looks any different that's why.
Also tried using a preset tone on Gibraltar instead of drawing in the details directly this time. Think I made it too bright, failed to compensate how it would show up with the night effect turned on, but still think it looks good and it does certainly save me some time so that'll probably be how it's gone going forward.
As Adam mentioned, was kind of wanting to quickly get away from the Peacekeepers here and get to Spencer to get to what this whole chapter's really been building to; Adam was looking to cut corners on this chapter where possible (as mentioned with the robot fight being planned not to even happen like we said on the last page), if only because not only is this chapter a little on the long side but the next few are also pretty likely to be. The Peacekeepers stuff will be getting proper follow through in the next chapter, although not right away - we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.
Random funny edit I had to do on this page - last panel I had to tweak it to hide Grant's face. As originally drawn he was peaking out over top of Val and Jenny but it made him look like he had a freaky mutant arm and hiding his face was the quickest way to fix it.
Speaking of, there's the joke about him being a terrible liar. Not actually sure if it's come up in Blues, at least in a long time, but always been an idea of the character. Have also used that gag with Grant's role over in WaR at the moment.
