Not gonna lie, juggling this many characters is REALLY hard. It was sort of a relief when I realized that having them trip over each other and keep Decay Conductor from doing down just by a sheer pileup, like a football tackle.
It's weird, I have to really juggle the kids looking inexperienced next to the Peacekeepers without making them comically inept; that's a real problem I always see whenever Spider-Man has to interact with the Avengers and you can always tell when they're trying to make him look worse. Here it just feel like they're uncoordinated with each other, but I still think I oversold it on making the Blues kids look incompetent. That gets helped in the next few pages at least....
I liked getting to see Qrime Qure using a camouflage mode, a power that makes sense but I don't think has come up yet.
Kinda hard to think on much to say for this one, it's a pretty standard continuation of the fighting that only serves to keep the song Rebel Yell playing in my head all night.
Not entirely sure what to say on this one myself, though do like getting to give Marina and Qrime Qure a bit of a spotlight after they didn't really get to do much in the last chapter, even compared to the rest of the Peacekeepers (and the kids for that matter). It's a little thing but it is nice to see.... even if it didn't exactly go great for them.
Good getting to see that bird again after it previously showed up in The Lost Spell of Fontainebleu in Blues and Loving Family in Wright as Rayne. Guess that's a summon she's particularly fond of.
I do think there is a danger of making the kids look too dumb but don't think it's quite reached that point yet; it is after all their first real fight since Marvelous Man (given the pig robot didn't exactly last very long) so they're probably a bit rusty plus they don't have Jake there to help guide them with it any, plus Decay Conductor seems to be pretty crafty what with actively egging Val on. Still, yeah, this page is kind of just particularly big on the screw-ups.
