Heh... Don't worry, this isn't gonna be one of the deals where we do a little bit at a time to set things up. We're going through all of this for this filler break. ^^
But yeah, we're looking into the origins of one of the characters playing into the arc. I'm trying to keep it a little vague who exactly it is, but I imagine it's probably pretty obvious, and if it's not now then it'll certainly be in the future.
I wrote this entire sequence in just like two hours, which is a pretty HUGE deal for me given how slow I tend to be for writing stuff. My brain sort of hurt afterward, which will be a funny effect, as you'll see when we keep going....
A funny note on this whole thing, if you're wondering why it's so thin and long compared to a usual page, is that Adam originally drew it with a ton of empty space, to where it just looked really jarring and awkward - I drastically cut that down in coloring it but that led to the page proportions you see here. Not really a huge deal but just kind of thought it was an interesting aspect of things.
Also of late we've been experimenting with the preset tones in Manga Studio and similar mechanics within it; it's not something we're really wanting to lean far into, but can see it getting some simple use in here and there; in this case the backgrounds of both of these panels were done via those.
Am hoping everyone's going to enjoy this little arc, is going to take up the rest of this filler block. Probably not too hard to get a concept of what's going on here but it'll be more clear as we go along.
